Come on all, I'm sure you've been out there at least once these past few days. Or at least you were damning the world for being too busy to get out there and jump into that secret swimming spot of yours...

    OH hell yes!

Up in Tahoe, it's a nice huge, rocky waterfall that warms the water.....and pool at the bottom is crystal clear and just right, plus it has plenty of huge boulders around it to sun bathe on!

Oh ya, you know what I'm talkin' about!

the holes along cave gulch creek in santa cruz (UCSC campus/Wilder ranch)....the holes up in the San Lorenzo river (about a dozen of 'em). nearly anywhere along the russian river. lake anza when the lifeguards are away. i really want to find a lot more, because i FUCKING LOVE SIMMING HOLES, but i don't really know of too many. i have dreams about simming holes and swimming. i need to travel more.

there's a good one up above lake whiskeytown in shasta co., that my friends tell me about, but i never have been there.

some lake in marin county i hear is pretty good, as well as the inkwells in marin, which i havne't been to yet (not hot enough). will go soon.

In Marin, there's a great little nude hole out near Rancho Nicasio (which is a GREAT doobie drive from San Rafael or Novato) but if you're interested, I'll have to ask my hubby for directions...

L is that near Bolinas? I don't know what it's called but my friends use to take me to a place they called the "Naked Lake". It was really just a big pond. Friendly people there all the time. On a sunny day usually between 40 & 200 people. There was a big log floating in the water I'd swim out to and jump off of. There was an old lady who was out there though who was a white lady but was so dark & wrinkled & unfortunately you couldnt help but notice her blond bush. lol We use to call her the Leather Lady because she reminded us of a leather purse. I know that may seem rude but seeing her was just part of the fun. She'd always smile and say hello and we'd return the greeting. We'd always look for her & the first one to see her would tell the others "Leather Lady is here! Leather Lady is here!" lol Leather Lady RULES!!! Those were such good times!

        whoah that rules
ın marın there ıs bass lake or blue lake or somethnig, very remote, i hear it's the best. my old man told me about one he went to back in like the carboniferous era that was in w. marin just along hwy 1, but maybe he was talking about the inkwells (aout 12 feet from s.f.drake blvd, in coe park, technically). there are loads of other ones in the area but they're all on the watershed land, i've found out, and too many people will see you and call you in to the rangers.

cave gulch is the gulch that runs along that one raod, empire grade, yeah, that's cave gulch. you may explore all you want (enjoy it before UCSC fucks it over in a year or two), but don't fuck with some of the caves, they have endagered spiders living in them.

still looking for more swimming holes....
